The 23st Annual Molson Canadian Coors Light Vince Ryan Memorial Scholarship Hockey Tournament will be held this year from Thursday, March 22th to Sunday March 25th 2012.

This Tournament is one of the largest adult hockey tournaments in the world.  Every year on beautiful Cape Breton Island, over 160 teams from across Canada and the United States gather.  In addition to the excellent hockey, the tournament offers great nightly entertainment at a number of locations, 2 tournament dances, great hospitality, and the tournament wouldn't be complete without the participation of former N.H.L players.  Over the past years, some of the special guests in attendance were Jean Beliveau, Harry Howell, and Bob Nevin.

The Vince Ryan Memorial Hockey Tournament is a registered non-profit organization with all proceeds going to a scholarship fund for graduates of all schools in the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board and Cape Breton University.  Over the past 22 years the tournament has raised approximately three hundred thousand dollars awarding in excess of 200 scholarships and with your participation this success will continue.

Register by Friday January 13, 2012 and you will receive the early bird rate of $750.00 per team.  If taking advantage of the early bird rate, your team's payment of $750.00 must be paid in full by Friday January 13, 2012.  The regular registration fee for 2012 is $800.00 (registration after Friday January 13, 2012).

Teams should be aware of immediate changes made to the Vince Ryan Memorial Scholarship Hockey Tournament.  Admission is on a first come first serve basis so be sure to register early.  Registration is not complete until full payment is received.  A team cannot be entered in the tournament via a verbal agreement nor will partial payments be accepted.

Due to a shortage of goaltenders, the minimum age for this position has been reduced by five years in each division.  The ages are as follows: 30 in the 35 and over division, 40 in the 45 and older divisions and 45 in all of the following divisions 50 ,55, and 60+ divisions.  It is hoped that this will increase the number of registered goaltenders in the Tournament and make games more competitive                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Rosters can be completed on-line via this website.
